RESCHEDULED FOR February 21 due to weather!!

Do you have a pair of Classic cross country skiis chillin' in the garage? Let's get you using them!

Cross country skiing is a fun and safe way to stay active and energized over the winter months.  Get out and explore the winter on skis!

Join instructor Lori Hildebrandt, for a demonstration session on how to use your classic cross country skis. Learn the basics, including how to get up when you fall, diagonal stride, double poling, climbing and descending hills. You will have the opportunity to practice and receive feedback from Lori. The group will meet on the east side of the Breezy Bend Country Club parking lot.

Participants must have their own set of cross country skis to participate in this workshop.

This workshop will be canceled and rescheduled if there is not enough snow or if the conditions of the groomed trails are poor at the time of the event.

You do not have to be flexible or have great balance to come and have some Yoga fun! Learn some new skills that can help with your focus and concentration for playing sports, playing music, artwork, homework or just about anything else you are interested in doing. Yoga will help with flexibility and balance, but it will also help with strength and learning about your body. We are all very unique and different from everybody else.

Come and practice some yoga asanas (poses) with JoAnne and learn some new things about yourself. Each session will incorporate some individual work, some group or partner work, music, stories, games and some meditation. You will leave the practice feeling refreshed and calm and ready to take on the rest of your day with a clear mind.

Participants will need to bring a yoga mat.

- There will be a safe walk from school to the church.

This Family Walking Mediation is for anyone ages 8+. Parents, children, grandparents, friends, all welcomed!

Join us for a mindful walk in nature. We will use all of our sense to be present in the moment and savour the sights, sounds, smells and textures around us. Notice things we may not have noticed before. Pay attention to the things we pass by everyday without a second thought. We will take the time to see how we feel when we are consciously present.

We will use breathing exercises to tune into ourselves and learn some ways to listen to our bodies.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.
