Mapping Abandoned Manitoba
GEMS Lunch & Learn!
We are collaborating with the Macdonald Services to Seniors GEMS program to bring you a Lunch & Learn!
Join us to hear Dr. Gordon Goldsborough tell us about an 8-year project by the Manitoba Historical Society to map the locations of nearly 7000 historic sites around the province, including several now abandoned, and what they reveal about how the province has changed over the past century or more!
Come for lunch and stay for the presentation. GEMS is a Macdonald Services to Seniors lunch program held each week at Starbuck Hall on Wednesdays and at Sanford Legion on Thursdays beginning at Noon. A delicious lunch is only $8. This provides great food in a fun and friendly atmosphere, the opportunity to visit with old friends and make new ones. Please call Leanne at 204.735.3052 the Monday prior to reserve your space and order lunch.
* Presentations are free to attend but please let us know you are coming!
