In this class, you will learn proper alignment & modifications through a series of seated, standing & floor postures. These postures will increase strength, flexibility & balance & help decrease stress, anxiety & pain. Creating Your Portfolio- Adult Learning

Sometimes a resume is not enough to distinguish you from the rest of the applicants. A portfolio can help you identify your skills the way employers and educators need to see them. Basic course in the use of a metal lathe. You will learn how to use the lathe by making a nylon faced aluminum hammer. Although the lathes are an older style, the process used is the same. Please note a supply fee of approximately $15 will be payable to the instructor depending on materials used.

Explore the world of traditional film photography and darkroom developing. This workshop will offer participants an introduction to the basics of photography including camera operation and image composition. Hit the Ice- Recreation Hockey (9 & 10 years)

Grab a stick and join the fun! Kids can enjoy a structured warm-up and some non-competitive hockey in a fun & relaxed environment. Parents are welcome to join in the fun on ice. All players must supply a helmet with face protector, neck protector, gloves, shin pads and a hockey stick. Open to kids who are NOT registered in a Hockey MB or Ringette MB program. Installment or post-dated payments accepted. Individual accident/injury insurance encouraged. Get your kids into the kitchen with these fun and creative classes that make learning about nutrition fun. Little chefs will learn how to prepare simple meals, nutritious snacks and the basics of kitchen safety. Please note there will be no class on October 11th.

Spooky Images (Ages 8 & up)

Just in time for Halloween, learn how to use special photography techniques to create eerie images and ghostly scenes. Participants will work together in small groups to plan their spooky scenes making use of a variety of props and costumes. Participants do not need to bring a camera for this workshop however they are encouraged to bring along any fun or scary costumes or props to the class.

Munsch Madness- Parent & Child (Ages 3 - 5 )

Who doesn't love a great Robert Munsch book? Come & join us as we read, sing, play & create some "Munsch Madness". This is a program for children, along with their parents, to spend time sharing a love of literacy. The program will feature a different Robert Munsch book each week, along with songs, games, crafts & activities related to the theme. Please note there will be no program November 11th.

All in One Fitness (Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays)

Whether you're a veteran camper, or a newcomer, a reformed couch potato or a tri-athlete- this class will inject a fresh dose of fun into your fitness routine. A total body workout that will make you fee fabulous from the inside out. Friday classes will take place from 5:45 p.m. - 6:45 p.m. Please bring an exercise mat, ball and hand weights to class. Payment may be made in installments. Note there will be no classes on the following dates: Oct. 4th, 11th, 27th, Nov. 8th or Dec. 6th.

We will also learn breath exercises to help release tension from the body & end with a relaxation period that will include meditation techniques. Hockey Coaches Clinic

A 3 hour session for anyone who will be coaching young hockey players and would like to maximize ice sessions as well as expand their knowledge of coaching the game. Now that your daughter is at the age that she is testing her limitations and seeking more independence, it is important that she has the confidence and ability to recognize risky situations and make safe choices when it comes to her safety. This dynamic course is designed specifically for girls ages 12-15 years and covers topics such as setting boundaries with friends and acquaintances; increasing critical thinking skills; drug and alcohol awareness; identifying potential dangerous relationships, raising self esteem and more. Role play and group work help reinforce the lessons while providing students with knowledge to draw from when faced with a dangerous situation. An important course for the beginning babysitter. Learn all the basics of child-care, first aid and safety in the home. Students must be 12 years old by December 31, 2010. Please bring a lunch, water bottle, pen & paper.

Black & White Film Photography & Darkroom Techniques (Ages 16 & up)

Explore the world of traditional film photography and darkroom developing. This workshop will offer participants an introduction to the basics of photography including camera operation and image composition. Participants will also learn how to process their own B&W film into negatives and will be introduced to traditional darkroom techniques for making their own photographic prints. Participants must have a film SLR (single lens reflex) camera. Please note there will be no class on Thursday, November 11th.
