"Macdonald in motion" is a network of organizations and volunteers committed to increasing awareness of the importance of physical activity. Campaigns have included "Busy Babies", an "in motion" poster contest through the schools and physical activity demos at flu clinics. "Macdonald in motion" is currently launching a walking campaign through a mail out to all communities within the R.M. of Macdonald.

We're watching you! Activity Ambassadors are on patrol and looking for anyone and everyone who is being physically active. So if you are out walking, gardening, riding your bike, playing a game...you might be "caught in motion"!
Pedometer Loan Program
Congratulations on taking steps to better health! Pedometers are an easy and effective way to track everyday lifestyle physical activity. "Macdonald in motion" pedometer kits available for loan. Each kit contains a pedometer & booklet with practical, easy to use information on how to use a pedometer, walking plans. safety tips and a walking log. Pedometers may be signed out for a period of six weeks. If you would like to receive a Pedometer Loan Kit or would like more information, please call the Macdonald-Headingley Recreation District office at 885-2444.
